Orlando February 2026 Photo Contest Rules
(the “Contest”)
NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING.
Eligibility: The Contest is open to all legal residents of the United States and Canada who have reached the age of majority in their respective state (including D.C.) or province of residence before the end of the Contest Period. Employees and contractors of Sponsor, and its parent, subsidiaries, or affiliated companies, and their family members are prohibited from entering. Entrants are subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law.
Sponsor: The Contest is sponsored by Ritchie Bros. Auctioneer (America) Inc., 4000 Pine Lake Road, Lincoln, Nebraska 68516 (“Sponsor”).
Agreement to Official Rules: By participating in this Contest, entrants agree to abide by these terms and conditions thereof as established by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to qualify all submissions and to reject any submissions that do not meet the requirements for participation as established by Sponsor. All decisions made by Sponsor concerning the Contest shall be final and at its sole discretion.
How to Enter: Entrants are encouraged to take a creative photo or video and share their experience of the 2026 Orlando February Auction. Entrants can enter the Contest as many times as they like. Entries that are fraudulent are not permitted and will be declared invalid.To enter complete either step during the Contest Period: (1) Take an original photo or video at the Ritchie Bros. Orlando auction between February 11 – 20, 2026, post that photo or video on entrant’s own public Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn or TikTok account, and “tag” Sponsor’s Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok handles with hashtag #RBOrlando2026; or (2) submit an entry through Sponsor’s Contest landing page by filling out the form and uploading an original photo or video.
Photo or Video Specifications: The photo(s) or video(s) must be submitted as a high-resolution JPEG or MP4. The photo or video cannot contain violence, profanity, sex or direct attacks on individuals or organizations. Any entries deemed as offensive will be disqualified. The photo or video must be an original creation – no copyrighted images or videos may be used. By submitting an entry, the entrant is certifying and warranting that the submitted photo(s) and/or video(s) does not violate the rights of a third party or any copyright. Sponsor is not responsible for intellectual property violations that might have resulted through the submissions of photos and/or videos during this Contest.
Entry Periods: The Contest begins on February 11, 2026 at 5:00 am Pacific Time and ends on February 20, 2026 at 11:59 pm Pacific Time (the “Contest Period”). Entries received before or after this entry period are void. Sponsor’s computer network is the official timekeeping device for this Contest.
Selection of Winner: One prize winner (the “Prize Winner”) will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. All entries must meet the contest requirements. Any attempt by an entrant to influence the result or subvert the Contest will result in disqualification. AN ENTRANT IS NOT A WINNER OF THE PRIZE, EVEN IF NOTIFIED OF BEING A WINNER, UNLESS AND UNTIL THE ENTRANT’S ELIGIBILITY HAS BEEN VERIFIED.
Notification of Potential Prize Winner: The Prize Winner will be notified via direct message on the social channel the entry tag was received. If the Prize Winner submitted an entry through the contest landing page, they will receive an email. In order to receive the Prize, the Prize Winner must: (a) respond to the prize notification message within forty-eight (48) hours of transmission; and (b) if the Prize Winner is a Canadian resident, he/she must correctly answer, unaided, a mathematical skill-testing question within 5 minutes. Should the Prize Winner fail to comply with any of the requirements set out herein, the Prize will be automatically forfeited and the runner-up entrant will be selected from the remaining valid entries using the same procedure specified above.
Prize: The Prize Winner will receive an electronic US$250 Visa gift card (the “Prize”). The Prize will be delivered by appropriate means determined by Sponsor at its sole discretion to the Prize Winner, at Sponsor’s cost. Any and all taxes due and payable in connection with receipt of the Prize are the sole responsibility of the Prize Winner. The Prize Winner assumes all risks associated with the use of the Prize. The Prize may not be assigned, transferred, changed, exchanged, substituted or redeemed for cash. Sponsor makes no warranties or disclaimers concerning the Prize beyond those customarily given by the supplier of the Prize. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a different Prize of approximately equivalent value in its sole discretion.
Release, Publicity, and Privacy: By participating in this Content, entrants hereby consent to, and grant Sponsor and its affiliates the right to, the use of their name, business name, address and Contest entries by Sponsor for advertising and promotional purposes, without any additional compensation, except where prohibited. No entries will be returned. Each entrant agrees to release and hold harmless Sponsor and its officers, directors, employees, affiliated companies, agents, successors, assigns and Instagram (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership or use of the Prize or participation in the Contest. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer or administration of the Contest or in the announcement of the Prize. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for: computer system, hardware, software or program malfunctions or other errors, failures, delayed computer transactions or network connections that are human or technical in nature, or for damaged, lost, late, illegible or misdirected entries; lost or unavailable network connections; fraudulent, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions whether caused by Sponsor, the users, or by any of the equipment, programming, or third-party websites associated with or utilized in this Contest; or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of submissions or downloading, that may limit, delay or prevent an entrant’s ability to participate in the Contest. The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or LinkedIn.
By entering, all entrants consent to the use by Sponsor of all the information provided in the entries for marketing and/or sales promotional purposes without any attribution, identification, right of review or compensation. Information submitted with an entry will be subject to Sponsor’s Privacy Notice: https://www.rbauction.com/legal-policies/privacy-statement.
Disputes: EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, EACH ENTRANT AGREES THAT: (1) ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS, AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THIS CONTEST, OR ANY PRIZES AWARDED, SHALL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORTING TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION, TO TAKE PLACE IN KING COUNTY WASHINGTON STATE; (2) ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS AND AWARDS SHALL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS INCURRED, INCLUDING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ENTERING THIS CONTEST, BUT IN NO EVENT LEGAL FEES; AND (3) UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY ENTRANT BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN AWARDS FOR, AND ENTRANT HEREBY WAIVES ALL RIGHTS TO CLAIM, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, AND ANY OTHER DAMAGES, OTHER THAN FOR ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSES, AND ANY AND ALL RIGHTS TO HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR OTHERWISE INCREASED. EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ALL ISSUES AND QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE CONSTRUCTION, VALIDITY, INTERPRETATION AND ENFORCEABILITY OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES, OR THE RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF ENTRANT AND SPONSOR IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONTEST, SHALL BE GOVERNED BY, AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH, THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON, WITHOUT GIVING EFFECT TO ANY CHOICE OF LAW OR CONFLICT OF LAW RULES.
