With this checkout, we are introducing new ways to pay for purchases, easily upload tax documents, track the settlement process online and much more! One account login lets you access, complete, and review all your buying and selling transactions in one place.

Please follow the steps outlined below to ensure you're set up and ready to use our new online checkout and settlement system to pay for your purchases or to receive proceeds for items you sell.

For all other auctions at this time, please pay through the existing payment process via your account on rbauction.com

Sellers without an existing rbauction.com account will be able to log in using just their email address. Once logged in, sellers can add and edit payout information.

To get started sign in to the new checkout experience

Use your current RBAuction.com account email and password, or use the link on the sign in page to request a one-time verification code to access your account

We will be piloting these new capabilities at a few select events to start, as we expand to include all of our sale events globally.

As a buyer you will be able to:

  • View all item purchase details, detailed invoices, payments due

  • Easily access your purchase history and view and download invoices

  • Upload tax exemption docs to ensure proper tax calculations before payments are made

  • Set up and use your choice of multiple payment options:

    • Credit cards

    • Bank transfer (New!) – easier and faster than checks!

    • Ritchie Bros. Financial Services financing - funds will be wired automatically to Ritchie Bros. and will show up in your account

    • Wire transfer

  • Split payments between multiple credit cards and payment methods

  • Easily update your credit card and banking information

As a seller you will be able to:

  • Easily set up settlement account information

  • Automatically receive proceeds in your desired bank account

  • See detailed settlement information: proceeds, fees, deductions, etc.

  • See sales & transaction history as well track the settlement process

Is this new system secure?

Absolutely. At Ritchie Bros. your online security is paramount. Ritchie Bros uses Stripe to store payment information and process your payouts. Stripe is a secure payments platform that uses best-in-class security tools and practices to maintain a high level of security. Stripe is audited by a PCI-certified auditor, and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1, the most stringent level of certification available. How do I log in – do I need to create a new account?

No, you don’t need to create a new account. Log in using your current Ritchie Bros. online account email address and password.

Do I need to re-enter all my personal information?

No, we just need you to confirm all the information is correct and up to date under the "Profile" section.

Some of my profile information isn’t correct but I can’t change it. What do I do?

Please email Asksupport@ritchiebros.com or call our Customer Care at 1.800.211.3983 and they will be able to update it for you.

Buyer FAQs

How do I add credit cards or other payment methods?

Under your Account Profile, scroll down to Payment Methods and click “Add new card” to add a credit card for payment, or “Add new ACH” to add your bank account for ACH/bank transfer payments. Remember to hit “Save” when you’re done.

How do I remove credit card information if I don't want it stored.

You can remove a saved payment method – a specific credit card, for example – from your account.

How do I add my Tax Exemption Certificates to my account?

Under your Account Profile, scroll down to “Tax Exemption Certificates”, click on “Add” and follow the steps to enter your info and upload/add your certificate.

How do I see my invoice?

From the main dashboard, click on Account > Purchase History and then click on the item(s) you want to see invoices for. Scroll down and click on “View invoice” to see a full breakdown of costs, fees, taxes etc., as well as the total amount owing. You’ll also see your options for payment on this page.

How do I pay for my items?

From the main dashboard, click on Account > Purchase History and then click on the item(s) you want to pay for. You’ll see a “Pay Now” button. When you click on it you will be presented with options for payment available to you. Just follow the prompts to complete payment.

How will I know when my payment is complete?

You can check your payment status under “Purchase history” – see the colored status button to the right of each item.

What kind of personal information will I have to enter into the Stripe system and why is it required?

As part of their mandatory identity verification requirement: Stripe must collect, verify, and maintain information on individuals associated with every Stripe account, as required by regulators and financial partners. This is intended to promote transparency and prevent fraud, identity theft, and financial crimes.

Is my personal information secure?

Yes. Stripe respects the privacy of everyone that engages with their platform, and they are committed to being transparent about privacy processes and policies. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy, and visit the Stripe Privacy Center for more information about our privacy practices.

If I need to add or change any bank account information in order to receive my settlements, how do I do that?

Make sure you set up your seller account by clicking on “Seller Payout” and proceeding through the steps so you can add bank deposit info, see future payouts, funds in transit to the bank and more.

How do I see my settlement info and status?

After you log in and see the main dashboard, click on Account > Settlements & Payouts and you’ll be able to see settlement and payout info and status, indicated by colored buttons. Click on “Payout Status Guide” to see the stages of settlement.

How do I see a breakdown of my settlement?

To see a full breakdown of your settlement including commission, deductions and any other fees, from the main dashboard click on Account > Settlements & Payouts and then click on “View more details” beside the contract you want to review.

How will I know when I’ve received my settlement?

You will receive notifications via email. Please ensure your email in the system is correct and up-to-date.
