Established in Italy in 2004, Ritchie Bros. initially held auctions at the port of Livorno before relocating in 2008 to Caorso, in the province of Piacenza. The Caorso yard is strategically located in the heart of Northern Italy, with excellent access to ports, railways, airports, and major highways.
Spanning approximately 200,000 square meters, the facility features a main building with a reception area, offices, a check-in facility for equipment drop-off and pick-up, parking, and a large yard equipped with a washing station. The yard can accommodate up to 4,000 machines at once. With over 10,000 lots sold annually to buyers from more than 70 countries, Caorso is the leading auction site for industrial and agricultural equipment in Italy and Southern Europe.
Ritchie Bros. hosts five auctions each year, attracting thousands of participants from around the globe. During viewing days, customers can inspect equipment in the yard before placing bids. In addition to auctions, the Caorso site offers a range of additional services, including transportation, inspections and appraisals, painting and refurbishing, ensuring a comprehensive suite of services for both buyers and sellers.
