Transferable Powertrain Service Warranty – 4.15% of selling price with a minimum of $350 per lot. For example:

  • $415 for $10,000 item
  • $2,075 for $50,000 item
  • $4,150 for $100,000 item

Non-Transferable Powertrain Service Warranty – 3.9% of selling price with a minimum of $350 per lot. For example:

  • $390 for $10,000 item
  • $1,950 for $50,000 item
  • $3,900 for $100,000 item

NOTE: A $250 deductible will be applied to your first claim.

A powertrain service warranty will be available for purchase on select mobile equipment sold at Ritchie Bros. auctions (in the U.S. and Canada). To be eligible for a powertrain service warranty, equipment must meet these conditions:

  • Represent an approved equipment category
  • Aged seven (7) years or less (based on a unit's model year)
  • Usage of 5,000 hours or less
  • Mileage of 250,000 miles (400,000 km) or less
  • Deemed eligible after completion of a detailed equipment information review

Powertrain service warranties will not be offered on equipment with known pre-existing conditions or equipment needing repairs due to negligence, misuse, lack of maintenance, physical damage or external causes. Ritchie Bros. makes no guarantee that warranty-eligible equipment is free from pre-existing conditions.

Powertrain service warranties are valid for 12 months, 1,000 hours of usage, or 50,000 miles (80,000 km)—whichever comes first.
