About the Area

In 2006, Quesnel’s population was approximately 9,326. Quesnel is also a major trading centre located in the central interior of BC. The primary economic base is forestry, and there are two pulp mills, a plywood manufacturing plant and a number of large lumber mills. Subsidiary industries include ranching, mining and tourism.

Highway 97 is the main route of transportation through the city, and there is also rail and air service. There are many amenities throughout Quesnel including two ice arenas, a curling rink, tennis courts, a modern multi-use recreational facility and three golf courses.

Marsh road borders this property at the rear, and the property fronts on Wes Fraser Road. West Fraser Road is a main traffic route south of the city on the west side of the river. The neighbourhood mostly consists of single-family residences as well as some mobile homes and multi-family buildings. The downtown core of the city is located approximately two miles to the northeast, and the commercial area of West Quesnel is approximately one mile to the northwest.
