VANCOUVER,
BRITISH COLUMBIA - Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers Incorporated
(NYSE:RBA), the world's leading industrial auctioneer, announces
the Grand Opening of its new auction facility in Truro,
Nova Scotia.
Ritchie
Bros. has been holding industrial auctions in Nova Scotia
since the 1970's. The Company's first auction in Truro was
held on June 5, 1984. The new auction facility is located
on the existing Truro Ritchie Bros. location in the Debert
Air Industrial Park at 63 Lysander in Debert, Nova Scotia.
The
new facility includes a covered auction theatre with seating
for hundreds of bidders, an elevated equipment ramp, administrative
offices, refurbishing facilities, ample customer parking
and a yard for the display of equipment.
"Our
new facility will be more convenient and comfortable for
our customers," says Terry Christopher, Territory Manager
- Eastern Division for Ritchie Bros. "The auction theatre
is a covered, heated facility to keep customers comfortable
on auction day at all times of the year."
The
official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Grand Opening will
be held in conjunction with the Ritchie Bros. auction on
October 5, 1999 at the Truro site. The ceremony will commence
at approximately 9:30am local time.
The
auction will feature equipment from Nova Construction, of
which the original Truro sale in 1984 was held for, and
other consignors. Featured equipment includes construction
and transportation equipment such as crawler tractors, wheel
loaders, motor graders, hydraulic excavators, truck tractors,
dump trucks and boom trucks.

an excellent sale. We have a large selection of quality
equipment for bidders to choose from. Along with our grand
opening celebration, this sale will be quite an event."
