RITCHIE BROS. ANNOUNCES ATLANTA GRAND OPENING!

ATLANTA, GA--Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers announces a Grand Opening Celebration at their new facility in Newnan, Georgia on April 8th, 1998.

The Grand Opening Celebration is being held in conjunction with their 2-day multi-million dollar unreserved auction on April 8th and 9th. The industrial auction, with no pre-set minimums, is the first to be held at their new Newnan facility. The auction features equipment from Lake Martin Excavating, Utility Service Company, Hahn Contracting Inc., Georgia Pacific Corp., Union Camp Corp., Prime Equipment, Pioneer Machinery, Inc., Dycom Industries, Inc., Hertz Equipment Rental and other owners. Featured equipment in the auction includes late-model grapple skidders, crawler tractors, motor scrapers, and feller bunchers. The auction also includes smaller items such as forklifts, manlifts, pickups and shop equipment.

On Wednesday, April 8th and Thursday, April 9th, hundreds of interested buyers from all over North America and around the world are expected to come to the Ritchie Bros. sale site to bid on a variety of logging equipment, trucks and heavy construction equipment. Hundreds of thousands of dollars can exchange hands within minutes, as Ritchie Bros. auctions are known for being fast-paced, exciting events.

"There is a good selection of logging and earthmoving equipment for sale at our auction," says Marty Pope, Vice President U.S. South East region for Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. "We're expecting hundreds of bidders to attend the sale and help us celebrate our Grand Opening in Newnan. After over a year of construction here at the site, we're very excited to open the new facility to our customers!"
